Kim Smith is an Australian pop singer in NYC. He has the body of a greek god and a golden heart on top of it all. I could see no better man to become a Modern Day Saint of Faggotry. Spreading the good word of sexual freedom and sodomy for all, Saint Kim is here to titillate and please. The greek words surrounding his halo translate: "COCK". This image was taken by Tyler Dean.
Anyone who has had the pleasure of knowing Viktor in any capacity knows the light that glows from this one is bright. He is brave, original, honest, kind, and pure of heart. I find him striking and inspirational. This is why I have canonized him into The Modern Day Saints of Faggotry, a series of mine that I hold near and dear to my heart. I believe that Saint Viktor represents pureness of heart and honesty. The Saints of Faggotry are meant to represent the arbitrary nature of religion and the power of symbolism to move people. I believe we can make our own inspiration, and have our own state of grace. Sexual purity has more to do with intention than sexual act, and Saint Viktor is here to show you pleasure's secrets, and set your heart on fire.
Jeremy Lucido and I started working together after I bought a multi-pack of Starrfucker magazines and cut them all apart. I made different collages and hand painted the small pages. They were very simple and raw at first. I've been a huge fan of Starrfucker, and Jeremy's work since discovering it on Instagram all the way back in Indiana (where I'm from). I remember posting them and wondering if he would notice them, or like them. As we have progressed, we started working on larger pieces, and this has allowed for much growth and more detail in our images.
Coral Beef is in fact a photo taken in the desert by Juan Loza of model Urtreen White. Juan was generous enough to email me a set of images from Spain. I had put down a first layer of golden orbs upon the image before leaving for a trip to Hawaii. It was upon returning that I felt an urge to take this image in an underwater coral reef inspired direction. This image brings my imagination alive with movement, passion, and joy for life.
This image comes all the way from Lyon France and was originally photographed by Eric Lanuit. I felt the pose here was so royal, and almost god-like. I felt he should drip in gold. Eric was generous enough to photograph a set of images exclusively for me to be featured in the latest issue of Character Magazine, available now at: http://www.charactermagazine.fr/
Brandon Shade and Phillip Campbell are the creators of Skin & Bone magazine, and the models in this piece. I fell in love with Brandon's style of photography. Popping colors, striking and almost contorted posing, gorgeous boys. It was all I needed to see. I contacted him via Instagram and we began work on a set of images. Skin & Bone Magazine is working on issue two, issue one is available:
